Announcing Wine Women & Shoes Models and Spotlight Survivor

iGoPink Blog, Media Center No Comments

The committee of Wine Women & Shoes, presented by EXIT Lonestar Realty, is adding a special touch to their third annual fall event. This year, the New York style fashion show will feature exclusively models who have been affected by breast cancer. You’ll see women who are battling breast cancer, won the battle, supportive sisters, friends, and mother-daughter teams all showcasing this year’s newest trends from Dillard’s.

“We are honored to be featuring all of these strong women,” said Erica Johnson, Founder and Executive Director of The Breast Cancer Charities of America. “It’s such a great way for us to show the community the true faces of breast cancer. When someone is diagnosed with breast cancer, it doesn’t just impact the patient; it touches family, friends and loved ones.” This year attendees will see over 24 local survivors, patients and loved ones walking the runway to show their support for the cause.

Also this year, the Wine Women & Shoes committee has selected Montgomery County Treasurer, Stephanne Davenport, as the annual spotlight survivor. Last year, Stephanne walked in the fashion show literally days after her last round of treatment. Stephanne is very active and involved with the educational and program service platforms that BCCA provides and the committee is honored to have her spotlighted this year.

Tickets for Wine Women & Shoes are available now. VIP tickets and Platinum VIP tables are available on a first come first serve basis. Sponsorship opportunities also remain. To find out more information visit: www.WineWomenandShoes.com/Houston or www.iGoPink.org

“EXIT Lone Star Realty is excited to be the presenting sponsor again for Wine Women & Shoes. It touches home even more that both my niece as well as a dear friend/client (both breast cancer survivors) will be modeling in the runway show as survivors,” said Susan Mack, Owner/Broker of EXIT Lone Star Realty. “BCCA is such a worthy cause and it is wonderful to see how the event is growing. It’s going to be even more fabulous than last year if that’s possible!”

The Breast Cancer Charities of America is serving women across the nation through their Feeling Beautiful Again program. This service provides women who are battling breast cancer with a beauty bag of hope. If you or someone you know is battling breast cancer, request a free Feeling Beautiful Again bag!

The Feeling Beautiful Again kit, which comes in a reusable pink tote, is full of beauty products to make a woman feel feminine and beautiful again. Amongst the lip gloss, blanket, nail polish, and more, women will also find education information on breast cancer, a step-by-step workbook and the organization as a whole.

“We often hear that after losing a breast(s), eyelashes, hair and dealing with the skin changes that come with cancer treatments, a woman feels less feminine and less like herself,” said Erica Johnson, Founder and Executive Director of The Breast Cancer Charities of America. “With these Feeling Beautiful Again bags, we hope to help remind a woman that she is beautiful and strengthen her self-image.”

This little act of kindness can brighten a woman’s day and give someone struggling through the emotional and side effects of breast cancer a new lift on life. If you or your company may be interested in setting up a ‘Beauty Drive’ to assist with collecting the items put into these bags, or if you know of someone who may appreciate or be in need of a Feeling Beautiful Again bag, please visit www.iGoPink.org/FeelingBeautifulAgain or call us (936)231-8460.
